The Adolescent Voice Collective (AVC) is a three-day international gathering of Montessori adolescents who come together to explore global themes, engage in meaningful dialogue, and co-create a Declaration to be presented at the Montessori Europe Congress in Riga. Through workshops, research activities, intercultural exchanges, and guided experiences around the city, participants collaborate to express the concerns, ideas, and hopes of young people in today’s world. The AVC offers adolescents a rare opportunity to contribute directly to the wider Montessori community, while developing confidence, leadership, and a sense of global citizenship. Each adolescent attends with a chaperone who participates fully in the programme, ensuring safety, continuity, and ongoing support once they return to their school communities. This event is open to Montessori schools and adolescent programmes across Europe and beyond.

The Adolescent Voice Collective is hosted by Montessori Europe, an international association dedicated to connecting Montessori educators, researchers, adolescents, and organisations across the continent and beyond. Montessori Europe works to promote collaboration, professional exchange, and innovation within Montessori education, with a strong focus on research, sustainability, and amplifying the voice of young people. As host of the AVC, Montessori Europe provides a safe, structured, and inspiring environment in which adolescents can engage in meaningful dialogue, intercultural exchange, and collective action. The organisation oversees the full programme, supports participating chaperones and schools, and ensures that the adolescents’ work is shared with the wider Montessori community at the annual Montessori Europe Congress.
